Hosted by: University of Vermont
Sponsored by: Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital; Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont; American Society of Acupuncturists; and
American Academy of Medical Acupuncture

The 2019 SAR conference will provide a forum for presentation of the latest advances in acupuncture research. To this end, in addition to research abstracts, we are also soliciting applications for a symposium of 3 to 4 plenary presentations with a common theme, which will be incorporated into the main schedule of our upcoming conference.

We invite you to submit your proposals for a 1.5-hour plenary symposia, including 3-4 confirmed presenters and their lecture titles, organized around a single theme. SAR’s Conference Scientific Review Committee will select the most meritorious submission for a plenary symposium. Registration fees for the entire conference will be waived for the chosen symposium presenters. General topic categories may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tai Chi, Qigong, Tuina, TCM, and whole system approaches, but do not need to relate specifically to the SAR main conference theme, which explores acupuncture research’s role in the development of public policy and community health.
